Nagasaki, Japan
     Far East Cruise Port

Ancient Nagasaki rises in terraces and winding streets up the steep hillsides of its excellent natural harbor. Despite the ravages of war, many historical treasures survive, including the Sofuku-ji temple inhabited by Chinese Buddhist monks, the 19th-century Glover Mansion said to be the scene of Puccini's Madame Butterfly, and the moving Peace Park.
